With an IP audio feed at your transmitter site, it’s audio in, RF out! No external boxes are necessary, and HD Radio™ time alignment drift is a thing of the past. This is what becomes possible when you combine Nautel’s unique Software-Based Air Chain with a GV2 transmitter. The result is digital radio with less wiring, fewer boxes, reduced cost, and decreased complexity. In other words, you Just Add Audio.
Just Add Audio
Just Add Audio is a groundbreaking software-based approach for digital radio that consolidates all components of HD Radio implementation into one streamlined solution. From audio processing to importer, exporter, exgine, support for station logo, album art, artist experience, PSD, RDS, and more, everything can be seamlessly integrated within the transmitter. No additional hardware is required. With fewer boxes, reduced costs, and simplified complexity, you get everything you need all running inside. Just connect an IP Audio feed, and it’s Audio In and RF Out—effortless and efficient.

Integrated Premium Audio Processing
Omnia® for Nautel offers a comprehensive suite for FM+HD1, 2, 3, 4 audio processing and Livewire® AoIP inputs for all audio streams, eliminating the need for additional external hardware boxes – including external GPS units thanks to the integrated Blend-Lock FM/HD Synchronization which guarantees perfect FM/HD1 time alignment.
New Options for Multiple Redundant Air Chains for Resilient Transmission
A key component of the smart architecture of the GV2 is an advanced air chain selector, which allows the transmitter to select one of many air chain inputs (FM and all HD) and gracefully switch from one feed to another, regardless of whether the feed originates from the studio, the cloud, or the internal platform All components can optionally be activated to suit each station’s specific needs.
Nautel’s GV2 Series: Purpose-Designed to Integrate the Software-Based Air Chain
Nautel’s GV2 transmitters, enhanced versions of our GV Series, are the first in the industry to integrate all HD Radio™ components inside the transmitter. The GV2 supports HD Radio™ with Xperi Gen4 Importer, Exporter, and Exgine implementations for HD radio encoding, station logo, and artist experience. It is the first solution that locks FM and HD signals synchronously to eliminate HD FM blend drift. Omnia® for Nautel covers all FM and HD Radio audio processing needs and provides Livewire® AoIP inputs for all audio streams. No additional hardware is required. Learn more about the GV2 Series.
Interested? Here’s how you can try it.
We’re excited about the opportunities Just Add Audio can bring to broadcasters, and now you can try it before making a final commitment to HD operation.
The HD Digital Radio Test Drive aims to remove many of the obstacles that prevent stations from adopting HD Radio. This initiative offers broadcasters the opportunity to establish a significant presence on car dashboards and test the impact of graphics, advertising, and new content in their specific market. This trial can help unlock new listeners, content, and revenue opportunities without the immediate need to invest $40-50K in HD equipment. Learn more about the HD Digital Radio Test Drive.
