Nautel Brings Affordable HD to Low Power FM

Special promotion brings HD operation within reach for a wider range of lower power FM stations including LPFMs; also provides affordable analog and HD backup for higher power operators.

Hackett’s Cove, Nova Scotia (June 10, 2021)– Nautel has announced a special promotion on the company’s VS and VSHD products, essentially halving the cost of VSHD exciters for all members of its VS Series and offering an additional savings on VS2.5 transmitters and for a limited time.

“Low power FM operations that are interested in the benefits and versatility of HD may not have been able to make the conversion due to cost,” said John Whyte, Nautel Head of Marketing. “We’re bringing these capabilities within reach through temporary, significant cost reductions in the VSHD upgrade for existing VS Series transmitters. The VS2.5 Analog/Digital FM transmitter is also available at a special price and is ideal for either analog or digital transmission.” Whyte noted that the promotion may be of interest to more than low power and LPFM operators. “Higher-powered stations find Nautel VS Series transmitters attractive as backups to their primary transmitters, because of all the extra capabilities found in these units,” he said.

Nautel’s VS Series has brought an extensive suite of capabilities to lower power FM operations. Available in 300 W, 1000 W and 2.5 kW, these products incorporate a direct-to-channel digital exciter, SNMP support, AES/Analog/Composite/IP streaming audio inputs, and more. The transmitters are managed via Nautel’s award-winning Advanced User Interface which provides full remote access.

The special pricing is available for customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
