Capital Radio Network announces that it has entered into an agreement to purchase 22 Nautel transmitters.
The Capital Radio Network announced Friday that it has entered into an agreement to purchase 22 Nautel transmitters.
The transmitters include the Nautel VS Series FM transmitters with power levels between 300 watts and 2.5 kW as well as the Nautel XR Series AM transmitter.
The agreement, to be completed over the next 24 months, will see the transmitters installed in various broadcast sites for stations in the group.
The group already has 16 Nautel transmitters in use and once this order is completed all broadcast sites in the Capital Radio Network will use Nautel transmitters.
The rollout of the new Nautel transmitters will coincide with a program to replace all transmitter remote control and site status systems.
Greg Spencer, from the Capital Radio Network said ”Nautel is the world leader in the manufacture of FM and AM transmitters and this purchase will provide efficient and reliable transmission at all our transmitter facilities.”
Karen Olliver from Sonifex Pty Ltd, the Australian representative for Nautel said “We have worked with Capital Radio for many years and are delighted they have chosen Nautel as the standard for their network. We look forward to coordinating the progressive deployment of these new transmitters and providing Capital Radio with the latest in Nautel’s award winning innovation.”
Nautel’s Regional Manager for Asia-Pacific, John Abdnour added “We’re very pleased to work with Capital Radio and Sonifex on this project. Nautel has supplied the solid-state RF needs and services of Australian broadcasters for decades. We are privileged to continue the tradition.”
