SNMP has existed for decades in the IT industry and has slowly started to catch on in broadcast over the past 10 or so years. In this session, we talk about interfacing SNMP managers with transmitters and other devices. For discussion purposes we focus primarily on a Burk ArcTouch system with ArcTouchPlus software, but there are tips that would apply to virtually any SNMP manager and interfacing to one or several clients. We discuss installation, configuration and how to get the data to your devices in recognizable form.
