Discussion of the technology behind the process of single frequency networking – what needs to happen and why. We explore potential solutions in both analog and digital domains, discussing synchronization and clocking and how there’s no free lunch – i.e., there will almost always be a least some area of interference. The question becomes, how do we determine where the interference would be least objectionable (impact the fewest number of ears) and how do we optimize reception in areas of maximum audience?
