Radio Data System or Radio Broadcast Data System. Not to be confused with the programming data format and regardless of which version of the system your country subscribes to, there are certain things that are common to all implementations. There are also things that are more commonly used in some areas than others. In this session, we talk about the different fields and how best to configure them. We also discuss some of the gotchas – the things we most commonly get calls on – as well as how to determine whether your system can handle dynamic RDS or static only and if you need some sort of middleware to make it all work.
