Award-winning Advanced User Interface brings comprehensive monitoring and control capabilities to Radio transmitters.
IBC 2017, Stand 8.C49 – Nautel has now shipped more than 7,500 FM and MW transmitters equipped with advanced monitoring and control capabilities, and representative units will be shown at IBC.
All major broadcast transmitters introduced by Nautel since 2008 have incorporated the company’s award-winning Advanced User Interface (AUI). Designed to help engineers proactively manage transmitter monitoring and service, a transmitter’s AUI is accessible from any location with an Internet connection. In addition to computer access on all VS, NV, NVLT, NX and GV transmitters, the AUI is available via a 17” front panel touch screen on Nautel NX, NV and GV models.
The Nautel AUI takes advantage of the extensive information available through the design of Nautel’s modern transmitters. Metering can be configured down to the level of every amplifier in the transmitter, and AUI displays include real time impedance measurement, instrument grade spectrum and audio analyzers, IBOC/DRM modulation analyzers, numerous control functions, scheduling and logging. The AUI also has the ability to notify users of trouble via email. Recent updates to the AUI include the addition of an oscilloscope view which monitors audio source signals in the time domain, and site control functions for management of items external to the transmitter, such as doors or generators.
