Electronic Design Engineer

 
Responsibilities:

  • Working within a team environment, designing and contributing to the latest solid state transmitter designs
  • Ensuring quality and cost of new product design
  • Supporting the Production and Customer Service Departments
  • Representing the Company through direct customer contact and at events such as industry conferences, trade shows and presentation of technical papers

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent combination of achievements and education
  • Familiarity with broadcast transmitters, power electronics, SMPS, RF electronics and/or analog electronics is highly desired
  • Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Project management skills would be an asset
  • Previous experience in electronic equipment design is an asset, especially with demonstrated excellence

Electrical Test Technician

 
Successful candidates can look forward to a variety of challenges including:

  • Tuning and aligning frequency dependent sub-systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting of AM / FM broadcast transmitters and associated equipment
  • Testing and troubleshooting field returns
  • Working across the organization to resolve any issues (including close contact with the Engineering team)
  • Interfacing with customers during Factory Acceptance Testing

Candidates should:

  • As a minimum, have a technical college diploma as an Electrical Engineering Technologist and ideally, have experience in:
    • Working with high voltages (208 V – 480 V)
    • Working with analog, digital, and power electronic circuits and systems
    • Working with RF systems (MF, HF, VHF)
    • Using electronic test equipment
    • Testing and troubleshooting to the component level
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and also operate well within a team environment
  • Be able to demonstrate proven communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Be able to troubleshoot and provide solutions to problems
  • Be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities

Production Worker

 
This role would suit individuals who are willing to work across our production division. This could entail light duty machine work, packing, building, installing parts, installing components, wiring, harnesses. The positions will involve the use of hand tools, lifting and standing.

Candidates should:

  • Be able to troubleshoot and provide solutions to problems
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be able to communicate effectively
  • Work well in a team environment, as well as use your own initiative
  • Be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
