NVLT Running Smoothly at News 95.7
CJNI-FM, a division of Rogers Communications Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada has been successfully running a new Nautel NV10LT at 8.9 kW as their main transmitter, temporarily replacing a Nautel V10.
The first impression of the Rogers Media, Engineering Manager, Rodney McQuade is, “the NV10LT is a nice, small, compact unit. It installed very quickly with no issues.”
Since it was switched on during the evening of March 15th, 2012, as part of a beta test, the NV10LT has run smoothly, “There’s been no problems with it at all – it’s working like a charm!” comments McQuade, “We’ve experienced no changes to coverage or sound and zero complaints from listeners since we made the switch to the NV10LT – and trust me, talk shows get complaint calls real quick from listeners if there’s any issues at all.”
The new NVLT Series packs more value than any comparable transmitter in its class. They combine the proven architecture of the NV Series (integrated direct-to-digital exciter(s), parallel power amplifiers, parallel power modules and switching power supplies) with the unmatched intelligent features of the VS Series (local/remote AUI control system, Push Radio, streaming input, RDS generator, audio spectrum analyzer, powerful presets, scheduler, play lists, etc.), and the highest efficiency in their class.
