Encore Session of Nautel/Omnia [MPX over AES] Webinar Scheduled
Popularity of Omnia Direct [MPX over AES] capability for Nautel transmitters drives customer demand for additional webinar session.
Hackett’s Cove, Nova Scotia — Nautel has scheduled an encore session of its Omnia Direct [MPX over AES] webinar, which received “rave reviews” from customers this week. The new session will be held August 14 at noon EDT.
“Omnia Direct [MPX over AES] is wonderful development for digital broadcast transmission, and customers are anxious to learn more about how it is implemented,” said Chuck Kelly, Nautel Director of Sales. “Word of mouth on our first webinar has driven customer demand for a second session. Since we are just as excited about this technology as our customers, we’re delighted to repeat it.” Kelly will be joined by Frank Foti, Telos Alliance CEO and Omnia Audio founder.
Omnia Direct [MPX over AES] technology permits a single AES-EBU cable to carry the baseband signal in digital form between the Omnia 11 and a Nautel NV Series transmitter. This 100% digital path eliminates the noise and distortion of A/D converters and reduces potential overshoots, all while ensuring full FCC mask compliance. Digital direct transfer eliminates the need to use an analog composite signal, which prior to the Nautel/Omnia collaboration was the only reliable way to ensure maximum modulation for station loudness.
