Troubleshooting Assistance for:

IPA Output alarm during transmitter changeover.
False alarms latched during power restoration or transmitter changeover in dual system.
Output power reduced, current low on one module, no alarms.

IPA Output alarm during transmitter changeover.

Future Preventative Maintenance: Notes:
Replace the battery at least every year.  The battery may need to be replaced more often if the transmitters AC power is switched off on a daily basis. An IPA Output alarm during transmitter changeover (i.e. from transmitter A to transmitter B) can be caused from a low or dead battery.

False alarms latched during power restoration or transmitter changeover in dual system.

Probable Defect:  Battery on control monitor PWB.

Future Preventative Maintenance: Notes:
Change the battery; it is either low or dead.  Red Led Alarm.

Output power reduced, current low on one module, no alarms.

Probable Defect:  RF Combiner connector, or cabling to modules.

Future Preventative Maintenance: Notes:
Check the combiner for broken connections.  Remove the rear cover and inspect for damage.

Tripped Power Module breaker.

Probable Defect:  Temperature

Future Preventative Maintenance: Notes:
Wait 30 secs before resetting the module.  If the breaker trips again troubleshoot the suspect module.  If you remove the module, power will be reduced.

Battery Low Alarm

Probable Defect:  Battery is Low or Dead.

Future Preventative Maintenance: Notes:
Replace the battery at least once a year.  The battery may need to be replaced more often if the transmitter’s AC power is switched off on a daily basis. If you have a battery low alarm replace the battery immediately.

Meters are erratic & RF Sensitive.

Future Preventative Maintenance: Notes:
Wipe the face of the meter with a cloth containing a small amount of dish detergent or antistatic spray.

IPA Input and IPA Output Alarms

Probable Defect:  IPA Input Power Probe is Open Circuit

Future Preventative Maintenance: Notes
Inspect Solder joints regularly. The T1 leads are soldered onto pads and occasionally one end will lift off.
