Digital radio, also known as HD Radio, is the next generation of terrestrial radio and Nautel has been quick to provide the technology that allows radio stations to broadcast a digital signal promising listeners a higher quality broadcast where AM sounds like FM and FM sounds like CD quality. HD Radio also allows broadcasters to offer up to two additional radio stations with unique programming on the same frequency as their current analog signal.

|Nautel has developed a series of high power, low frequency sonar amplifiers which are robust, solid state systems designed specifically for sonar applications in difficult industrial and military environments.
Models range from 3 kW to 100 kW with 200 Hz to 4000 Hz bandwidth and near 96% efficiency.

|Nautel expanded its reach into the exciting world of rocket science by working on developing RF generators for use in Plasma Rockets. Nautel has been working closely with the US space company Ad Astra to develop a radio-frequency plasma amplifier for use in plasma rocket propulsion systems.
Utilizing high efficiency solid state RF generators made by Nautel, Ad Astra’s VASIMR® VX-200 rocket project achieved a highly-coveted new power milestone of 200 kW maximum power in September, 2009. Originally studied by NASA, this technology is expected to revolutionize space travel greatly reducing the operational costs of space exploration and shortening transit times for missions to Mars, and Nautel is playing a key role in its development.
